Style: Chito-Ryu Karate-Do

Opening An ICKF Karate School Kyoukai affiliated Dojo:

• Must have a minimum of Nidan-Jun Shidoin
• Must have a minimum NCCP Instructor beginner or country/territory equivalent
• Must have a vulnerable sector police check
• Must have standard CPR & First Aid
• Membership fee for all students is $15 to be paid annually and submitted by the Instructor with student names no later than January 30th of the year.
• ICKF Karate School Kyoukai affiliated Dojo will be able to use our crest if they wish our stripe and kyu certificates at no charge if they choose. 
• Dan ranking certificates will be the same price as Karate Canada Dan certificates
• Dan grading fees will be similar if not identical to Karate Canada
• ICKF Karate School Kyoukai affiliated Dojo members will have access to visiting and training with Sensei Ed Docherty at our Honbu Dojo in Whitby Ontario Canada
• Affiliated Dojo must have their own Dojo name
• Affiliated Dojo must have their own insurance 

Grading Privileges for Instructors in their own Dojo

• Nidan-Jun-Shidoin can grade to 1st kyu
• Sandan-Shidoin can grade to Shodan
• Yondan can grade to Nidan-Jun-Shidoin
• Godan can grade to Sandan-Shidoin
• Rokudan can grade to Yondan

*Teaching Title will be tested for and included with the appropriate Dan grade (at no extra cost)

If Sensei Ed is leading a grading for students whose Sensei isn’t quite high enough to grade them, the said Sensei will be invited to sit with Sensei Ed at the front to view the grading

Technical

• ICKF Karate School Kyoukai affiliated Dojo are recommended to use our Peewee, Children’s and Adult kyu syllabus but are not required to do so.
• Affiliated Dojo however are required to follow our Dan curriculum as laid out by Sensei Ed Docherty
• At ICKF Karate School Kyoukai we believe in teaching all aspects of Chito-Ryu Karate Do Kihon, Kata, Kumite, Bogu Kumite, WKF Kumite Bunkai, Kaisetsu, Goshin Jitsu,
• We believe that Positive reinforcement breed’s positive results 
• The ICKF teaching philosophy is “If you treat everyone like a champion they will all be champions”
• At ICKF all students have equal importance 
• At ICKF we greatly value Shugio (Austere training) 
• At ICKF we break the classes into portions working on the three K’s Kihon, kata, Kumite and Self Defence techniques ie Bunkai, kaisetsu, Goshin Jitsu 
• At ICKF we value and promote Bogu Kumite
• At ICKF Sensei are aware of the momentum of a class to ensure a vibrant experience 
• It is important that the Sensei trains with the students while instructing 
• At ICKF we strive to be the best Chito-Ryu Karate-Do Association in the World we want to ensure that our black belt students are of the highest standard.
• It is important for an ICKF Sensei to understand that the weighting of different elements varies between age of the student and interest, for example an elderly student doesn’t require as much Kumite where a 25 year old would require a solid portion.
