Karate Ontario, the official all styles governing body for karate in Ontario, host four qualification tournaments in the elite division categories. The top karate competitors in the province are then selected to represent Ontario at the Karate Canada National Championships being held in Québec City, Feb 24-26. Karate Canada is the official governing body for karate in our country. Only the top competitors from each province will have the opportunity to compete at the Nationals, representing their respective provinces.
ICKF is extremely happy to have qualified 4 students from our Dojo onto the Ontario team. The ICKF students who made the Ontario team are as follows: Kaitlin Morrish, James Gleeson, Navin Kangal and Gage Madill.
All of these karate athletes have been training at ICKF Karate School in Whitby since they were young children. We are all very proud of our students. Their hard work, skill, positive attitudes and determination has earned them their spot to represent Ontario at the Canadian Championships.
